Maya Path to Freedom: Q and A

In this blog post, you can read relevant questions and answers about the Maya Lineage and their teachings presented on this Blog.
Most questions come from a fellow seer that will remain anonymous. She is kind and respectful, and I am grateful to have met her.

And, I feel it is necessary to state that my Maya Nagual cares not at all about this Blog or my sharing. It is just my tendency to share, that's all (withholding 97% of the insights)...

Here we go:


Q:
How did you come to be interested in this subject (sorcery, shamanism, Castaneda)? Is there something specific you are working on and looking for?

A:
Yes, I am into Nagualism, have been for decades.
I am currently working on a website to share some of my experiences with the Maya Lineage of Seers.

Here are some details:
Maya Lineage I belong to differs considerably from the Don Juan/Castaneda Lineage.
It is a long story but in short, there is little focus (none actually!) on the low astral inorganic beings and their energy (which is quite important in their Lineage, we can see that from the Castaneda books).

Stages of learning dreaming are also different, shape-shifting takes the main place, Maya 'god forms'
are integrated into the development of awareness, organic energy is also very important, there is no trace of depending on the energy of astral beings, death defiers have no saying in Maya Lineage at all, etc...
It is different, no doubt there. In my opinion.

The aim is the same: freedom. Not immortality by itself, only freedom.
Black death defiers are also immortal, but not free at all as they dwell only at the lower astral level of awareness.


Q:
Do you also do dreaming practice? Where have you met your Nagual, a Maya seer? In person?
Maya god-form?

A:
Yes, I do dreaming practice.
Mostly I do the dreaming awake (especially after "the form" has left) and W.I.LD., of course.

I also work with inorganic spirits, but not in the Carlos Castaneda (CC) style. Never did like his approach, too much indulgence for my taste. And the state he ended up in (a black death defier), well, not really my goal. I work with lower astral beings (the ones Castaneda wrote about), higher astral beings (known also as "demons"), and also with angles and various god-forms.

Maya God-form I know and work with is Kukulkan, the Feathered Serpent,
integration of "spiritual" awareness and organic reality (Underground as Maya call it).

No, I've never met my Maya Nagual in physical form, only in dreaming and meditation.
The teachings are real, very real, and can be validated even physically.

This Lineage (there are other Maya Lineages, to be sure) is under the wing of Maya "god-form" Kukulkan, the Feathered Serpent, and the main Temple is at Chichen Itza, the Kukulkan Temple.

If you will, go visit the Temple in your dreaming and see if you can get in, so to speak.

Or, connect with a jaguar in your dreaming, that's your best bet. Jaguars (ordinary and the black ones) in dreaming are Maya dreamers, for the most part. Just be sure to check and recheck, lest you get screwed by some low-level astral inorganic being.

Q:
Is there a formal group of sorcerers involved in the Maya Lineage? Can you tell me more about Maya as you experience them?

A:
Yes, there is a group, an extended family even, that works together. Maya have figured it all out eons ago and they periodically manifest their culture on this planet (and on other planets throughout the multiverse), always seeking the right environment (lots of water underground).

They are true Seers, magicians, sorcerers, healers, shape-shifters, men and women of wisdom and knowledge. And they are peaceful...until they are provoked.

Maya are immortal, truly free, and self-sufficient...
...they need nothing from anyone or anything as they are Free.

The hallmark of Maya tradition is the integration of pure spiritual consciousness and organic energy. This can be seen in their focus on the Underworld, or in modern terms, the dense, dark, and powerful aspects of the overall consciousness (which most of us would rather not face and integrate; in modern times Karl Jung has explored that part of the human psyche...).

And they are way beyond the low-level astral beings ('friendly' inorganic beings Castaneda loved so much) and beyond other astral beings as well (black death defiers, flyers/parasites, 'demons', etc...).

Q:
Two things I'd like to ask you, if I may.
- How is organic energy linked to God-forms? Aren't gods also inorganic?
- Can you tell me more about the place where the Giant Trees are?

A:
Organic or material is not linked to the transpersonal/spiritual/god-forms, at first glance.
God-forms are spiritual, material is, well, material.

When one enters certain paths (i.e. Maya path, Tantric path, etc...) which integrate the material into the spiritual, it turns out that material or organic is only an aspect of spiritual...

...and after experiences manifest, the integration of organic energy into spiritual awareness makes things more real, down-to-earth, more powerful and progress quicker and more thorough.

Maya excel at that integration. Their rituals all revolve around the integration of light and darkness, as it were.

Of course, god-forms are inorganic (not material), too. But only certain paths integrate organic/material/"underground" even into spiritual development.
Kukulkan is both, spiritual and material, light and dark, underground and divine.
Way beyond low astral level inorganic beings the Don Juan and Castaneda lineages depend upon.

Looking at the Castaneda lineage, inorganic energy is what they rely on. It is a tricky business as any given inorganic being is not spiritual (perfect, free, omnipresent) by default. And
in the case of Castaneda lineage, inorganic beings are in fact low astral spirits, rather far away from any kind of real spiritual (perfect, enlightened, free, omnipresent) awareness.

Integrating darkness into light is the fastest path, in my experience.
And one can really appreciate stars only when it is dark.

The Giant Trees realm is a place that exists in a specific position of AP. There Don Juan and some of his party dwell, amongst others. It is a safe place from black death defiers, flyers, demons, etc...

One can transform his/her dreaming body into a tree there, thus stabilizing awareness without any astral level beings intrusion.
It is a very safe place.

Ask your ally to take you there in dreaming. It worked for me, and it is easy.

Q:
If someone starts to worship an inorganic being form is that spiritual? 

If you want to call worshiping low astral level being (akin to any soul of a dead human) spiritual, that's just fine.

To me, true spiritual beings are not manipulative, conditioned, or limited in any way.
An inorganic being in this context is any being that has currently got no physical body. And not having a physical body doesn't mean that being is spiritual or self-realized or perfected.
Spiritual here translates to completely free awareness, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, unconditional compassion and love, respect and caring.

It is obvious that most beings or spirits dreamers come in contact with are not really like that. Most beings a dreamer encounters in dreaming just want to screw him/her for some energy.

That is not spiritual, as I perceive it. That is just commerce.


Q:
Why is there a difference in worshiping a Maya god form vs an inorganic being (IB) form of another kind? (as far as this organic integration is concerned)

A:
If you want to come into contact with, say, Kukulkan, you will have to open up a whole lot more. IB Castaneda introduced are just low-level astral spirits, not at all liberated or perfected as god-forms are.

If you want to integrate organic energy into your awareness, you will have to open up to your own dark side and embrace everything, your human form, too...
...and all that comes with it: desires, low emotions, distress, illnesses, body fluids, etc... AND integrate all of that onto your spiritual path.

And that's exactly what the Maya were doing. Just look into their ball games...


Q:
Is Christianity then doing the same thing? Integrating organic energy?

A:
No, not even by far. They are still stuck in the denial. It is obvious that their priests do not handle their bodies or sexual energy (just run a search for Christianity sex abuses). Even more, their leader, the current pope, publicly proclaimed that Satan is to blame for all the sex offenses around the world. Clearly, they have not integrated any of the organic sides of energy onto their path. They would have to assume responsibility for all their abuses, which will not happen, of course.

No, while Jesus was indeed a genuine spiritual master, the church is a joke, in my opinion.

Q:
Thank you for your answers. I understand there is a difference between the Maya god-forms and the Castaneda inorganic beings. But I do not understand how an inorganic - deity/god - links to integrating organic energy.

Is it then because of what you describe here how working with those god-forms forces us to look at the most organic aspects of ourselves? (desire, illnesses, etc).
What is this system's approach to illnesses?

A:
Yes, working with certain god-forms opens up a whole new area of exploration.

Human consciousness has so much to offer and ignoring, avoiding, or suppressing the dark side of ourselves tends to limit the reach of our awareness, especially in dreaming.

If this happens (not dealing with our own dark side), things tend to go strange. Castaneda is an example of that, isn't he?
The Blue scout incident is a glaring example of how things can go wrong.

Opening up to our dark side is not just the Maya system, lots of other systems embrace the same approach, say Tantra, Vajrayana, authentic Kabbalah, etc...
None of these systems deny ego, desires, passions, body fluids, etc...

The dark side or as Maya say, the Underground, in this context translates to death, ego, negative emotions, attachments, aversions, illusions, ignorance, indulgence, aggression, pride, etc...
Lots of energy is stored in the dark places of our awareness!

Working with "darker" god-forms tends to bring up these darker components of ourselves. When you deal with the dark, the dark gets into you, as it were...
...and when you come out of the dark on the other side, well, you are free and have so much energy at your disposal.
Yes?

Denying or ignoring these dark things in ourselves only brings troubles, in the long run.
Illness always has a cause and bringing illnesses and their causes on our path are important, yes.


Q:
Christianity... of course I am not going to waste time thinking about idiots. But some Christians are sorcerers they just approach things from a different angle. 
Angels, for example, are also inorganic beings. So I was wondering where this would fit into the system you speak of.

A:
Yes, angels are also inorganic beings (by the way, how come Castaneda did not work with them?) and much higher on the evolution ladder than mere dead humans or Castaneda's inorganic or any other low astral level beings.

Working with angels (Gabriel, Seraphiel, Metatron, etc...) can bring so much into the awareness of a dreamer, no doubts there.

I am certain that many aspirants in Christianity are really advanced, yes.

In short, as you so eloquently put it, "...working with those god-forms forces us to look at the most organic aspects of ourselves...", yes.
There is so much energy stored in there, in these dark organic aspects of our overall existence. So much.

One can advance without ever really looking into these darker things, of course, but it takes so much longer and it isn't really thorough, is it?

And Maya were and still are masters of being thorough.

Black death defiers: how to deal with them

W.I.L.D. dreaming

It was one of those easy W.I.L.D. dreaming sessions. I retained awareness upon falling asleep and felt great and joyful, fully aware. I started to jump up and down happily and after a while, I entered some unfamiliar house. There were a few people milling around and I flew to the upper floor.

There were some statues there, carved out of lifeless stone. I sensed that someone is behind me, trying to make a contact. I turned around and saw a human being. I started with my usual drill (I did not want to use energy for 'seeing', I rarely do that in dreaming):
- are you an inorganic being? Yes.
(Inorganic being in this context meant the non-human being)

Oh, ok, I thought to myself, not overly interested in exchange with the spirit. I did not enter this particular dream with a specific intention to contact these spirits, so just to be sure, I continued to question the spirit:

- are you a demon/jinn? No.
- are you a black death defier? Yes.

Its answer surprised me and my inner reaction was quite emotional and after a few moments I just woke up in my bed. I was not ready to deal with my reactions to the presence of such a spirit. I did not enter the dreaming again that night...


Dreaming awake in the dark castle

(if you will, see the three Dreaming Awake blog posts, here >>)

In the afternoon that day, however, I took some time and decided to enter the dreaming state awake and to check out what the spirit wanted. Having already severed all (known) attachments to my inner disharmonies regarding these dark spirits, I felt confident and a bit curious.

I entered the dreaming awake (see the blogs on the subject of Dreaming Awake >>, II. >> and III. >>) with the intention to visit the realm where these spirits, the black death defiers, dwell.

Employing the Maya Words of Power I soon began to see 'the Eye' in front of me...
...and I intended to travel to the place I knew about only from what I have heard.

The initial vision changed and I soon found myself on a dry stony area a few miles from some building that I interpreted as a castle. There was no water, no trees or flowers in sight. Only a stony plane as far as the eyes could see. Almost nothing to focus my dreaming attention on...
The feeling I had looking at that building was gloomy and sinister. It was a dark castle of the back death defiers.

I sighed deeply and thought to myself, what a drama. I was fully aware that I was at the lower astral level of existence (and barely aware of my physical body), and I knew there would be a lot of dark glamour and illusion present there.

On the wings of intention, I flew over to the highest tower and entered through the dark stony walls into the room. Intuition served me well, for right there in that spacious room there was one spirit sitting on a slightly elevated seat. I instantly knew it was the spirit that came into my dreaming. I sensed it knew I was coming.

The room was round, some 15 meters in diameter, with two narrow windows on the left and right sides of the seat and that, was it. No flowers, no furniture, nothing. Just cold stone.
(reflecting now on these events, I understand that in the initial dream up there in that house, there were only dead cold stone statues - an indication that a black death defier was there.)

As I approached the spirit, I knew that it would pound on me with its low astral dark energy. Feeling completely confident, I moved closer.

The sight was not pretty: a dark green-brownish disfigured human appearance with insect wings and face. "How can you be content with such a form", I thought to myself. "What a miserable existence you must endure keeping such a form! Oh well...".

Its black eyes focused on me and after a while, I heard: "I contacted you in your dreaming because I want you to be aware of something."

Its gaze was intended to be powerful, I sensed, but I have encountered way more powerful beings in the past and found its gaze energetically interesting at best.

"We are following your practice from a distance since our last energy exchange and you have been busy since."
(It was referring to the situation a few months ago where I finally freed myself from my inner delusions (and from the influence of the lineage of the sorcerers of antiquity, the Castaneda lineage, to be more exact) and consequently from their energy control as well. I made it clear that their ways do not interest me at all (anymore) and got them to agree to leave me be.)

I understood that it must have been something important (to them) to violate our agreement and to contact me like that.

"OK, what do you want?", I asked out loud.

"We want you!" it screamed and started to hover a few feet over the ground with the annoying sound

coming from its wings.

I felt the surge of dark astral (emotional) energy coming towards me and in the past, I always reacted softly; now, however, I just focused on the awareness itself, opened up more, and let the energy pass through.

It floated there, all dark and menacing, trying to play on my weaknesses in my awareness (fear, attachment, aversion, greed, etc.).
I could understand its limited state of awareness, its own fear, anger, greed for power, and addiction to the energy from others. I actually felt compassion for it. I clearly saw how completely and utterly different we are. In a way, that situation at that moment alone was worth the trip: it became very clear to me that the astral level of existence was left behind for good, thanks to my Maya Nagual and empowerments into the Maya practices.

Outloud I just said, calmly: "So, what was it that you contact me in dreaming? Do you mind getting to the point, please?"
I learned from the Goetia practices that kindness goes a long way with dark spirits; it might contribute to this situation as well, I figured.

My reaction and calm composure took it by surprise, it seemed. It sat back down to its seat (was it a throne?) and said sharply:
"I want you to stop broadcasting your experiences about us!"

I took some time and said nothing.
It continued: "If you continue to share your knowledge about us, we will make you suffer!"

Oh, here we go again, I thought to myself.
"You have so limited awareness that you can't even ask nicely", ran through my mind.

Outloud I said: "Clearly there must be some misunderstanding.
First, my experiences with you and your kind are subjective and whatever I share is also only my subjective truth. 

Other people and other spirits have free will to do whatever they please with the information I share.

 
So, basically, it is up to them how they react and how they perceive you and your kind. You can't possibly think you can control all of us? Or do you?"

I sensed a trace of despair in its presence.

I continued: "My intention is not to harm you and your kind. I respect your freedom of choice, and what you do with your awareness and your energy is your choice.

But since you are quite dissatisfied it seems, and always angry and after the energy of others, maybe you ought to look into YOURSELF and see whether YOU are really content with what YOU are doing?

Every action brings reaction, at least at this level here, surely you can realize that. So maybe you could start by thinking about those poor souls you have traped down in the dungeons? Or do you want to keep searching for solutions for your own inner energy problems on the outside?"

I knew it was a long shot but had to express myself. These low-level astral beings have a lot of energy (from others) and very limited self-awareness. I knew most of my words would just bounce.

The spirit said nothing for a while, most likely passively absorbing my awareness energy and then it said:
"I know what I want and I want you to stop sharing your experiences and knowledge about us!"

I actually felt compassion for the spirit, as I understood that there's a long way for it to come out of this level (low astral) of existence.

"If you come with me now, I will do as you ask. If not, well, you can't do anything about it, anyway.", I said.

I focused on awareness and in a few moments, "I" perceived me, it, the castle, their realm, and everything else as empty. Empty of independence, self-existence.

I also saw the black death defier sitting on its throne with the energy signature of bewilderment in its eyes, as it could not see the dreamer anymore.

That was the last time the black death defiers interfered with my practice.

 
They are there, at their low astral level realm, contributing to the grander scheme of things, traping anyone with no experiences and information about them and with a similar mentality and energy configuration.

It is not that they are evil. No. They just lack the needed self-awareness and self-compassion to raise above the low-level astral realm. And if we want to get rid of their influence, we have to raise our own awareness above theirs. It is as simple as that.


Dealing with the black death defiers

0. Do. Not. Believe. What. Black Death Defiers Tell You. 

EVER!
We all have free will, and these low-astral level beings behave as though we do not. It is their dream, their illusion to be trapped in their miserable condition, and once you start believing their lies, their illusion becomes yours.

1. What's on the inside is what matters, not how these spirits present themselves.
So, let us deal with our own inner disharmonies instead of focusing on them and, what we perceive as, their schemes and manipulative strategies.

2. Facing our own fears, attachments, the quest for immortality (read: fear of death), anger, delusions and the lack of self-awareness is most important.

3. Black death defiers can do nothing if we assume a higher state of consciousness above the low astral level.

4. Work on our self-awareness (the Maya tradition, amongst others, offers a path to Freedom), not merely on building up life energy (the Castaneda style, only a quest for power). Self-compassion and compassion for others are the keys here.

5. Let us cultivate openness, self-love, self-confidence, compassion for other sentient beings, and, above all, self-compassion. These values are almost non-existent in the lives of the black death defiers.

6. Be happy and enjoy our lives, above reason.

Silence Within

silence of emptiness

There is one thing, one very important skill, which is of crucial importance on the Path to Freedom, in my opinion.

Without it, things just get foggy, unclear and progress in dreaming and in real life as well is limited.

"We talk to ourselves incessantly about our world. In fact we maintain our world with our internal talk. And whenever we finish talking to ourselves about ourselves and our world, the world is always as it should be. We renew it, we rekindle it with life, we uphold it with our internal talk. 

Not only that, but we also choose our paths as we talk to ourselves.

Thus we repeat the same choices over and over until the day we die, because we keep on repeating the same internal talk over and over until the day we die.

A warrior is aware of this and strives to stop his internal talk."

- Don Juan

It is not just about stopping the flow of thoughts. That's the first step, yes, maybe. But that's not enough. 

What really does the trick and yields a profound change in the state of consciousness is de-identification from those abstract and innermost notions that are so integrated into our awareness that we don't even notice.

It is not enough to just stop the inner flow of subtle perception based on the dichotomy between awareness and content of awareness either, as this can be done on many levels.

And here we are way beyond the reach of any kind of energy (low astral energy, dark energy from djinn/demons, elemental energy or any other energy). One can have tons of energy and can learn to manipulate the perception in every which way, and still be a prisoner of these innermost identifications.
That's what happened to some of the old sorcerers from the Don Juan Lineage, didn't it. They were masters of energy manipulation and yet unable to progress beyond mere low astral level realms. Obviously, something went seriously wrong in their practice.

Enormous amounts of life energy and awareness energy are being spent just to uphold the self-designated meaning to the content of our own awareness. 

We can call that self-importance, self-pity, victim-mentality, indulgence, a quest for power and immortality, complacency, ignorance, attachments or aversion.

The thing is that whatever we do with the content of our awareness and however we manipulate energy, all of this and everything any human or any other being can ever think of or experience, is, has been and forever will be, empty.

No need to raise stormy waves in perfectly calm weather on a completely placid lake of our awareness.

And the Silence Within does just that: liberates perception into simple, natural and unlimited space-like awareness which is far beyond all types of energy and all thoughts.

3rd level of dreaming

It was a dreaming taking place in a distant future on the Maya total world, The Jade World, where I was awakened and met with my Maya Nagual and Maya nagual counterpart, A.

I remember only this:


8th task

We were in the house my Maya Nagual assigned to me. The house has three rooms, each empowered with Silent Knowledge of the arts of dreaming, non-being, and stalking, respectively.

Chacmultun

The Nagual looked at me and his eyes shone with a deep light. He was standing in front of me, my lovely nagual woman was standing to my left. I was completely aware that I am in a different realm from the Earth, in a total Maya world in dreaming.

What happened is difficult to put into words.

As strange as it sounds now, I died. Total identity collapse happened. Every fiber of my nagual dreaming body, every aspect of my inner dynamics and everything else within and without became the totality of Awareness.

And the identity of this stalker and a student of the great Mayan seers was just gone. Nothing and nobody remained. Complete fusion of awareness with everything else. Awareness itself was self-aware, self-liberating, non-arising and eternal. No identity remained, none at all.

The presence of my Maya nagual counterpart was an obviously important element of the whole ritual, for it became crystal clear:
that's the stage of awareness that the Maya seers attained long ago and their All-good-intent has contributed to reorienting and upgrading, as it were, my limited nagual dreaming awareness.



9th task

We went from the 'Art of dreaming room' into the middle one, the room of the 'Art of non-being'.

As the Nagual opened the door and stepped in he just disappeared. Blackness inside the room just swallowed his dreaming body. The same happened with my nagual pair, A.

I could comprehend that they did not stop being, just their form was no more.

Being in the dreaming state in the nagual body, there were no limiting emotions or mental obstacles, so prevalent in everyday life. My awareness was sharp and clear.

I stepped in and everything went completely black. Black not as in color black, but black as in total disintegration of identifications on all levels of my awareness. The awareness itself ceased to, well, be.

The attainment of the 8th task of Maya dreaming has been full of awareness, integrating all possible aspects of dreaming into the totality of awareness. Now, however, all of that awareness was just gone, disappearing in the blackness of non-being. Total release from the fullness (and thus limit) of awareness. Complete freedom from the duality of perception and from the need of shifting and moving the assemblage point.

The non-being is complete freedom from everything anyone can think of. That's what the Spirit with its Intent is made of: nothing.
Nothing even beyond the so-called third attention...

Freedom

Something in that free omnipresence of nothingness moved and 'I' reappeared outside the house in my nagual dreaming body. Everything was sharp, the vision was crystal clear and awareness heightened as never before.

'Let's go", I heard the Nagual say, pointing with his right arm towards the third room.

A. joyfully opened the door and invited us in. Her eyes were shining and she was beautiful as always, clearly aware of what transpired in the first two rooms.

We went in and my Nagual said that there is no need to visit distant universes and other total realms, for the Spirit is present everywhere.

"Its Intent is manifested as energy formations that we can see anywhere: on Earth, here or in your Golden Maya City", he smiled at A.

"For many of us, building total worlds in our dreaming outside the Earthly existence, was a necessary operation. Your Maya Lineage of seers has accomplished marvels.", he again smiled at A.

"The real accomplishment, however, is to light up the awareness to its total expression and moreover, to turn it off, so to speak, by directly experiencing the non-existence of the Spirit."

"The movements and shifts of the assemblage point (AP) are welcomed, of course, but overrated nevertheless. These maneuvers, as magical as they are, are just a matter of geography."

I comprehended everything he was saying directly as if he was transmitting his Silent Wisdom directly into my awareness.

"It is a fact that some beings are not aware of the totality of their non-being and because of that, they are still not completely free."

"What do you mean by freedom?" I asked.

"Freedom from dependence on anything apart from the non-existing Intent, which is empty."

"Intent equals Spirit", I said with complete certainty.

"Yes!", excitedly almost sang A. even before Nagual opened his mouth.

Nagual again looked at her and smiled: "You two really are in sync..."

He continued: "Sorcerers first learn the art of stalking and dreaming to redistribute their personal energy with the aim of freeing their perception.
When their dreaming skills are growing, the sorcerers integrate impersonal energy into their awareness and bodies. That can be done by visiting the friendly realm of inorganic beings."

He paused for a few moments.

"Some of the old sorcerers have been caught roughly around that stage of development by our low energy non-organic friends. Their self-importance ran all too deep for them to let go of their indulgence. They were superb but superficial masters of energy manipulation and they forgot about awareness itself. And they were easy targets of inorganic beings."

A. and I looked at each other, sharing a thought.

"Yes, you two did not stop there", quickly said the Nagual, as if reading our minds.

Looking at me he said: "You went to great lengths to integrate both inorganic and organic energy, working with both dark and light beings."

"Actually, that was not such a bad, if dangerous path, to travel on.", he added.

"Maya, of course, went way beyond the reach of both inorganic friendly and dark beings.", said Nagual, again smiling at A.

"We united with the Lights from the Stars", she said, pointing her right hand upwards.

"Yes.", he continued, "A lot of energy is needed to move whole civilization to a new total world. And Maya did it."

"But still, there is freedom and there is freedom. If there is no depth of awareness, indulgence prevails, self-importance takes the main role, and that, for me and my Lineage, is not freedom."

"Sorcerers that depend on the low-level inorganic beings are prisoners of that level of existence or worse:
some are actually pretty close to what the human mind labels as dark. For me, that is not freedom, either."

"Black, manipulative death defiers?", I said.

"Yes."

He looked at A.:
"And then we have the grand seers of the Maya people.", he continued.

"As mighty and powerful as they were, and although immortal, some were not free as I understand freedom."

"Feared by the dark death defiers and by almost all other aware beings as well, some were depending only upon the Lights from the Stars", he said, looking at A., not smiling this time.

"True", she said, calmly, obviously easily handling the Nagual's critique of the people she leads.

"Freedom I am talking about", he said with a serious tone, "is being deeply aware of the nature of everything as it naturally is. And you can't move your AP into that awareness as it is the ground reality. The Spirit or Intent is that natural reality, beyond the shifts and movements of the AP.
Let me put it this way: the totality of awareness is where every single shift or movement of AP takes place. All different positions of AP are still based on the duality of perception. The Spirit, however, is non-dual."

We both understood.

"The last task of dreaming, therefore, is mastered after a dreamer has directly and empirically validated what Spirit or Intent really is and when he or she starts to integrate that empirical wisdom into whatever he or she perceives."

At that moment I began to experience what Nagual was explaining to us.

The 'blackness' or emptiness of awareness, the total absence of any kind of identification, started to be recognized in the elements of current perception.

AP moved easily, by only slight intent, and I started to perceive the Maya total world, the Golden City, where my A. dwells. I started to recognize the 'emptiness' there as well.

I say 'I', but there is no one there, here, anywhere. Only Spirit that itself is non-existing.

Me, my loved ones and friends on Earth, the four Maya allies, friendly inorganic beings, dark and other death defiers, demons and angels I worked with, the god-forms my Maya Lineage of seers have integrated into their awareness, other god-forms I know, the Nagual and my nagual pair - all are just images in the mirror that is the Spirit, itself forever free from the mirror images themselves. Beyond light and dark. Untouched by any kind of shift or movement of AP. Beyond both reasoning and seeing. Beyond everything - that indeed is freedom.

After a while, I found myself again in my room with the Nagual and A. looking at me with beaming eyes.

"Now go and integrate this into your existence, both of you.", he said,  smiling broadly.

7th task of dreaming

This task is the apex of the integration of organic energy into spiritual consciousness as per Maya Lineage:

- a dreamer is challenged to do three things:

• first, to integrate so much physical awareness into dreaming that there is no difference left between the dreaming and physical realities,
• second, a dreamer directs the focus of perception or in other words, manipulates the assemblage point in a manner that results in physically appearing in a separate and total world different from our own, and
• third, to manifest physical objects from within the dreaming into "objective" reality.

This task is the hallmark of the Maya teachings.
Maya certainly have attained this level of mastery over awareness. They still live and exist to this day, on a completely different level of existence.

They are free, independent and self-sufficient. No need for anything or anyone from outside of their incredibly rich culture.
And, how exactly did they build such a complex building like the Kukulkan Temple at Chichen Itza without any metal tools or even a wheel?
Well, a dreamer at this level of dreaming directly and empirically validates the answer to this question.

All of Maya total worlds are as real as our own here and now, and are welcoming to a Maya dreamer to "wake up" there, not only in dreaming, visions or meditation but with the physical body as well.

And that is the last task in the second stage of dreaming development where organic energy is integrated into spiritual awareness.

A Maya total world is as real as ours

Maya Golden City

I woke up in some unrelated dream, energized the dreaming body and connected to 'dreaming emissary'.

The feeling changed a bit as a gentle wave of energy hit me and I started my usual drill:

Are you an inorganic being (IB)? Yes.

Are you a dark death defier? No.

Are you a demon? No.

Angel? No.

Dark Djinn/flyer? No.

Are you IB from the realm Nek-tsha? Yes.

(in one of the previous dreaming sessions, I insisted that emissary comes clean about the name of their realm. Quite a story in itself there. 
Anyway, 'Nek-tsha' is supposed to mean 'continuously/forever reposed, solid, unmoving', according to the dreaming emissary)

You are not to speak unless spoken to.
You are not to start a conversation with me on your own, ever.
No comments on my thoughts.
You speak only when I ask you questions, both here and in the waking state.
You speak only to answer my questions, clearly and in short.
Ok? Yes.

Also, you are not to shift or move my AP without me intending it, ever!
Ok? Yes.

Do I make myself clear?
Indeed.

By now, after all these questions, the dream is stable and clear. And I am sure what/whom I'm dealing with.

Next, I say: I intend for you to take me to your IB realm, now.
(I like to use its energy like that. Why not?)

Things in the dream change, I feel like I fly with great speed ahead and down a slight angle.
I just relax.

Now I am in a different dream now, I can sense it. The ally is to my left, behind me. It is dark and I see nothing. No seeing yet, as I don't want to spend too much energy.

Take me to the center of your realm, now.

(when asked, this ally explained to me in one of the previous dreaming sessions that there, in the center where all their knowledge is present, the energy is most dense, intense. So, since then, I always go there.)

Vision changes and I perceive a familiar scene, a huge vortex of bright red, light blue and golden energy in an even bigger dark blue circle, powering up or emitting energy high up.
It is a beautiful sight to behold.

I move to the center of the vortex by myself and start to absorb energy as the ally has shown me. I am not intending to receive their knowledge, just energy.

I can feel the dreaming body building-up energy, I feel more awake and present. Memories of some unrelated dreams surface at that point.
After a while, it hits me, I suddenly remember: the Mayans!

Keeping my double in the energy vortex, I think for a while and start asking the ally:

Are you familiar with the Mayans?
I am yes.

Do you know any Mayan directly?
No.

Do you know where their world is located?
Yes, I do.

Are you able to move my AP to perceive their world?
Yes.

And move it back if needed?
Yes.

Then I remember my supposed link to the Mayans and ran it all by it:

Are you familiar with the concept of human reincarnation?
Yes.

Was I at any point in my overall existence part of Maya society?
Yes. You were their priest/leader at one time.

(So it is true. I remember at that point how I did research after that particular regression into previous lives and found out that indeed Maya had unique 'governmental' structure: their leaders were priests/shamans also, two roles in one.)

Now, I feel happy and really looking forward to meeting them. I have always felt the link to Mayans, even as a kid. In fact, one of the first books I read as a kid was about Mayans.
Energy rises up at that point.

I continue:
Is their world a complete realm or their shared dreaming?
It is a complete realm.

How are they, hostile, welcoming?
They welcome anyone who is not a threat to them.

What is their realm like?
Wait and see.

It did not answer me at all, so I repeated my question.

It said after a while:
At first a bit strange and when they see you, they let you in.

I thought for a few moments how to get more info I wanted.

Are you familiar with the concept of a nagual person?
Yes.

Are nagual persons amongst Maya?
Yes, many.

Are they capable, skillful sorcerers?
Very much so.

What are their top five skills?
1. They can kill anyone on the spot.
2. They have completely mastered the manipulation of APs. They can move anyone's AP to any location within or without and fix it there firmly. Forever, if they choose to.
3. They live eternally, they are beyond death. They are self-sufficient, free, immortal.
4. They are the unsurpassed shape-shifters.
5. They are the supreme magicians, healers, seers.

Hearing this, my interest in them grew even more.

They can kill anyone?
Yes, they were Lantians once upon a time.

Death defiers?
Yes.

Now they are not anymore?
No. They have altered their path a long time ago...

...they are well beyond the reach of the black death defiers now.

I noticed at that point that it has just commented on my thoughts. I was thinking about whether they have the dark death defiers on their backs...
I let it go this time, to my benefit.

At that moment an interesting thing happened. Partly, I was aware of my dreaming body still hovering in the energy vortex at the center of the IB realm, and at the same time, I started to perceive two magnificent jaguars cuddling and looking at me from up close.
The feeling was very familiar, it felt like home.

I did not ask the ally about it and it didn't comment.

Now, however, when I revisit that AP position, I understand that I was perceiving the future.

Having spent a long time in the IB vortex, I felt powerful and awake.
On an impulse from within, I voiced the intent for IB to take me to the world of the Giant trees.

I will omit the dreaming of that world for now.

So after all the events took place there, I decided that I was ready (stable, clear of the dark energy, lucid) to go to the Maya realm.

I voiced my intent for the ally to move my AP to perceive the place where Maya dwell.

At first, nothing happened. I stopped internal chat and in a few moments, I started flying up the giant tree with great speed. Those trees are really huge, it took some time to get above them. I looked back and saw how the top of the trees are completely intertwined, protecting that world.

That vision changed completely and I started to descend to some darker place. I landed on a 5m or 16ft wide forest path that led into the thick jungle.
The feeling was light, I sensed no danger. It was a magnificent old forest, overflowing with life, fully alive, lush and fertile, so full of life energy.

Just at the entrance into the forest there were standing two great looking jaguars.
They just stood there, calmly looking in my direction.
I took a few steps towards them and stopped. I knelt down, showed my bare hands, palms open and lowered my look, trying to communicate I've got nothing to hide.
For a few moments nothing happened, then I looked up, amazed, as they transformed into two at least 6.2 tall, young, muscular Indians with penetrating glowing eyes! Their presence was powerful, they shined un-denying impeccability.

"Mayans!", I thought, feeling awe and joy as well.

They said nothing, they both politely made a welcoming gesture, each with one hand, inviting me in. I felt welcomed.

I joyfully walked (it was a very real dreaming, it was as if I were physically there) between them into the vibrant forest.

And after a few more steps...
...everything transformed by itself, opened up and in no time I stood on a cliff overlooking a Maya Golden City!

I just stood there, wide awake and marveled at the purity, power, and clarity of the City. Just by looking at it made me even more present and lucid.

The architecture was nothing I have ever seen in dreaming. Nor some backward wooden huts neither futuristic and modern. And everything, everything was covered with (made from?) yellow gold.

I just stood there, trying to grasp the significance and importance of that dreaming.

While standing there, pondering, I sensed some movement behind and before I could react a beautiful jaguar jumped me from behind and gently pushed me over the cliff, touching me on the shoulder blades.

Her touch shifted AP a bit (I see that now) so I could clearly perceive what was to follow.
We both softly landed on the wide golden plateau at least 250ft beneath the cliff.

I stood up and looked over at the jaguar who in the meantime rolled over to her back, showing me her belly. I understood she wanted me to stroke her gently like she was a pet.
I got down to the golden floor and started to gently stroke the jaguar with both hands. Her fur was so soft and warm and we both enjoyed it, it seemed.
I was completely caught up in the moment, forgetting everything. Only that magnificent jaguar existed for me.

(as I now reflect these experiences, I see that the jaguar was volunteering me her energy while I was stroking her gently; obviously, she knew that I have no energy of my own left to continue the dreaming; inorganic energy is of no use in Maya worlds. Without the substantial help from the Maya, it is not possible to stay with them, it seems.)

I was 'awoken' from the enjoyment by some movement in front of us.

I looked up and saw an older (maybe in her sixties) but beautifully vibrant and tall Indian woman approaching. She was in the center and around her four powerful jaguars were slowly walking.

"My mother", I heard from behind.
I turned back and instead of the jaguar, there was a lovely, black-haired Indian girl in her twenties. Her eyes were dark blue and glowing.

"My mother",
she repeated, pointing with her right hand into the direction of the Indian lady, escorted by four great jaguars.

The transformation of the jaguar into a young girl did not at all strike me as odd.

The lady said: "Atisha", looking pointedly at the girl.
Atisha smiled and explained that her mother is one of the most important sorceresses in their society. They all referred to her as the Sorceress Supreme.

Without thinking, I dropped down, lowering my look as before, not to express submission, but to communicate my respect and openness.

She started speaking so I looked up. She was looking directly into my eyes, smiling. I heard her speak but all I could understand (and all I can now remember) was:

"We saw you were coming here. Welcome.
You can not stay here forever. You can, however, come here as often as you want and stay here as long as you like, but you can not become one of us."

My cognitive abilities were not functioning as I am used to, but I was clearly aware that she was not playing me as an IB would. She was expressing her thoughts very clearly. I could sense that her intention was good, benevolent.

"As a gesture of good faith, and, since you are connected to our people, I would like to present you with a gift, a gift of power."

I remembered all the talk about gifts of power from Castaneda books and how the dark death defier manipulated the naguals of that Lineage. I sensed a slight aversion rising up.
But then I changed my mind. The Sorceress Supreme asked nothing in return, she was not a black death defier or some low astral spirit.
"She is a Maya, c'mon!", I thought to myself.

I expressed my gratitude for their welcome and for letting me come to their eternal realm. She smiled.
I accept your gift, whatever it is, I said.

"To move among us and to stay with us, you will need a jaguar form.", she said.

She made a horizontal waving move with her right hand in front of her from the height of her head down to her waist.

I again felt that everything was changing, this time within me. Surroundings stayed the same, my form, however, transformed into a powerful jaguar.

I remained lucid, I was aware I was still me, but the form was completely altered. I felt more agile, fast, more powerful, down to earth, brave, with unbending intent.

A thought ran through my mind that I have to fixate this new position of AP. It was just a thought, though. The Sorceress fixated the AP for me, completely.

I was a jaguar!

"Growl!", I heard her say, and so I did.


As I looked to my left, there was a jaguar again, not a girl. I turned to face her and we cuddled for a while, and then ran off together to the left past some golden buildings... and I don't remember much about that part of the dream (I can imagine what you are thinking right now, but I really don't remember what transpired).

After some time I found myself again in front of the Maya Sorceress Supreme. She made a reversed move with her hand, this time from the height of her waist up, and I slowly transformed back to human form.
Atisha was there too, in human form.

The Sorceress said that my visit was over for now and stressed that I can come back anytime I want.

She then made a short gesture with her left wrist towards me and I was just blown back as a dry twig, over the cliff through the entrance and out of the old forest...and then everything went black.

After I returned to my body, I could easily remember the dream. Everything was still very alive in me.

I checked with dreaming emissary and it commented on a few details. Regarding the gift of power, it said that my body would remember how to change back into the jaguar form.

I consider this dreaming very precious and important. It revealed a lot about me, my path and Nagualism (quest for Freedom) in general.
I can't wait to go back there. But first I will discuss this dreaming with my teacher.

Dreaming Awake

Waking up in dreams from within a dream (D.I.L.D.), bringing awareness into dreaming right from the waking state (W.I.L.D.), astral projection, visions, scrying the spiritual vision, mental projection, visions supported by the Plants of Power, visions in the dark mirrors, meditation, etc...

...different descriptions for a simple and yet important maneuver of altering the focus of perception or, to use a well-known term, shifting or moving the assemblage point (AP).

These shifts or movements of the focus of perception or AP are all that is needed. And, as far as the skill called 'dreaming awake' is concerned, it can be done at will, anytime; no need to wait for the body to fall asleep.

In the words of Don Juan:

"The only thing that makes you think you are yourself is the form. Once it leaves, you are nothing. A warrior without form begins to see an eye. The formless warrior uses that eye to start dreaming. 
If you don't have a form, you don't have to go to sleep to do dreaming. The eye in front of you pulls you every time you want to go..."
- Don Juan Matus, The Second Ring of Power

"...You don't have to go to sleep to do dreaming..." In other words, you can shift or move the AP without taking the trouble of falling asleep.

In the beginning, sleeping is the easiest way to shift or move the AP. There is no need to focus only on this aspect of existence, however. To expand the limits of perception to include other levels of existence, well, sleep is not really needed.

"the eye"

I began to see 'the eye' years ago, at first on the Zen-like retreat called Enlightenment Intensive years ago. Soon after that 'the eye' became a regular part of my meditations.

Nowadays, 'the eye' is evoked simply by willing it using the Maya word of Power or by performing the so-called Movements of Power (akin to magical passes, only without the low astral and dark death defiers energy involved).

And letting go of the "form", or the deep and basic identification with a self-image as 'someone or something' (human or anything else) is very important. After that, dreaming or shifting/moving the AP becomes easy.

And dreaming awake is my favorite way of shifting/moving the focus of perception or the AP. No low astral level inorganic beings and their energy are needed.
