Chichén Itzá

Many ancient civilizations have influenced and inspired people in the 21st century, like the Greeks and the Romans, but of all the world’s civilizations, none have intrigued people more than the Mayans, whose culture, astronomy, language, and mysterious disappearance all continue to captivate people.

At the heart of the fascination is the most visited and the most spectacular of Late Classic Maya cities: Chichén Itzá.

Chichén Itzá was inhabited for hundreds of years and was a very influential center in the later years of Maya civilization.

At its height, Chichén Itzá may have had over 30,000 inhabitants, and with a spectacular pyramid, enormous ball court, observatory, and several temples, the builders of this city exceeded even those at Uxmal in developing the use of columns and exterior relief decoration.

Of particular interest at Chichén Itzá is the sacred cenote, a sinkhole that was a focus for Maya rituals around water. Because adequate supplies of water, which rarely collected on the surface of the limestone-based Yucatan, were essential for adequate agricultural production, the Maya here considered it of primary importance.

Underwater archaeology carried out in the cenote at Chichén Itzá revealed that offerings to the Maya rain deity Chaac (which may have included people) were tossed into the sinkhole.

Although Chichén Itzá was around for hundreds of years, it had a relatively short period of dominance in the region, lasting from about 800-950 CE.

Chichén Itzá was partially abandoned in 948, and the culture of the Maya survived in a disorganized way until it was revived at Mayapán around 1200.

Why Maya cities were abandoned and left to be overgrown by the jungle is a puzzle that intrigues people around the world today, especially those who have a penchant for speculating on lost civilizations.

Kukulkan, the Feathered Serpent

Kukulkan at the base of the west face of the northern stairway
of El Castillo, Chichen Itza

"In the Yucatec Maya language, the name is spelt K'uk'ulkan and in Tzotzil it is K'uk'ul-chon.
The Yucatec form of the name is formed from the word kuk "feather" with the adjectival suffix -ul, giving kukul "feathered",  combined with kan "snake", giving a literal meaning of "feathered snake"."
(Freidel et al 1993, p. 289.)

"...The Plumed or Feathered Serpent was a prominent supernatural entity or deity, found in many Mesoamerican religions.

It or he was called Viracocha in the Inca and earlier cultures of Peru and Bolivia, Quetzalcoatl among the Aztecs, Kukulkan by the Yucatec Maya, and Gucumatz and Tohil among the K'iche' Maya, for example.

The double symbolism used in its name is considered allegoric to the dual nature of the deity or person, where being feathered represents its divine nature or ability to fly to reach the skies and being a serpent represents its human nature or ability to creep on the ground among other animals of the Earth, a dualism very common in Mesoamerican deities.

...

Quetzalcoatl was a bringer of knowledge, the inventor of books, and associated with the planet Venus. And the corresponding Mayan god Kukulkan was rare in the Classic era Maya civilization. However, in the Popol Vuh, the K'iche' Feathered Serpent god Tepeu Gucumatz is the creator of the cosmos.

...

So, it could be that the Plumed/Feathered Serpent concept is one that represents a being, person, or people of a very high state of mental consciousness.

That the Plumed and Feathered Serpent story is found in various parts of South and Central America, as well as Mexico, is, of course, intriguing, especially if the varied groups involved were not in contact with each other..."

Separate reality: slow inorganic realm

There are a lot of non-organic beings out there, and in the dreaming outlined below the "friendly", the slow, and the manipulative ones were involved. Ancient sorcerers in general and Carlos Castaneda, in particular, were big fans of theirs.

I am not really a fan of these beings myself, as they are always on the lookout for energy. They like to sell over and over and over again, and I don't want to buy at all.

If you let them, they can convince you of anything.

Their energy does contribute, though, up to a certain stage in the development of dreaming. After the nagual body (or the Light body as it is referred to in our Maya Lineage) is reached, the energy of IBs is not really crucial anymore (besides, certain other forms of IBs are way more powerful and can contribute a whole lot more energy to a dreamer).

Since they belong to a world that is just outside of ours, in other words, low astral level of existence, they really have got nothing much of permanent value to offer to someone who is after complete freedom (which is attained way beyond the astral level realms.)

For sure, they are powerful beings, able to shift or move one's assemblage point (AP) in an instant, and they are always ready to teach. On the other hand, however, they are slow, immovable, self-centered low astral beings with not-so-deep self-awareness. They know and talk a lot, that is true. :)

Their realm plays a part in the overall scheme of things, an important part of the lives of dreamers, as it turns out. It is not, however, a realm that you want to be stuck in.

Anyway...

... interesting things can be experienced there, and if one has just the right state of mind in dreaming, they can do no real harm. After all, it is just a low astral plane; if I use an analogy with our educational system, its like a kindergarten where most basic things are learned. After that pre-school is done with, more important info and skills are being learned in primary school, high school, etc...

Maya realms are way above those astral realms, of course. For me, they represent graduate studies. Truth be told, without the kindergarten, I would not have gotten there. So, I must express gratitude to the low astral level beings.

A dreaming session below reflects my positively-neutral attitude towards them:

Here is what transpired:

Right from the start of the dreaming I first focus on the awareness that I am in a dream (jumping/flying high up and down for a while) and then I call the dreaming emissary. It responds promptly. I hear its voice clearly.

Then I run the usual drill in dreaming regarding the real identity of an inorganic being (IB) I establish contact with and thus stabilize the dreaming:

Are you an IB? Yes

Are you a dark IB? No.

Are you a demon? Or a flyer/parasite? No. No.

Are you an angel? No.

Are you IB from the world Nek-tsha? Yes, I am.

OK. You are not to speak unless spoken to.
You only speak when I ask you questions.
You are not to initiate conversations here in dreaming or in the everyday world.
OK? Yes.

You will always answer my questions clearly and in short. OK? Yes.

Also, you are not to move my assemblage point (AP) without me commanding you,
not here in dreaming nor in everyday life!
Yes? OK.

You are not going to comment on my thoughts or speak out to me unless I voice my thoughts!
OK? Yes

Also, you are never ever going to transfer my physical body to your realm!
Do I make myself clear? Yes.

By now, the dreaming is stable and I know what and who I am dealing with.

After a while I voice the intent, using just the contact with the dreaming emissary (using its energy, not mine), just as my Nagual has taught me:
Now, take my dreaming body to your realm, right away!

Without saying a word, the IB does its thing and for a while, nothing happens and then I start to get dizzy and the dreaming scene just changes. I find myself in a darker space, still feeling a bit dizzy. I notice a fuzzing bluish light in front of me and to my left.

I know that's my "friend". I am aware I am dreaming and that this world is not the world my physical body is in.

I have been here many times before........and it suddenly hits me, I remember! The source of their energy!
(I have planned this in advance).

I ask the IB:
You, all of you, are immobile and yet very knowledgeable, yes? Yes.

So, where does all this knowledge come from? From the source.

Is there a center of your realm, a source of your knowledge? Yes.

I think for a while and then ask:
Where is the energy most dense, most vibrant, powerful? There, at the center.

Great, I think to myself, out loud I say:
Guide me there, now!

Just follow me, I hear. And it speeds off to the left and down a slight angle.

We pass the tunnels, soar by the huge light blue open space and over some bright red square-like shapes of something (I do not ask what those are) and in a while, a huge cavern, surely miles in diameter, opens up before us.

Here is the center of our realm, I hear.
I was just about to chastise it for speaking without me asking it to, but I let it go.

The energy was truly more powerful here.

I say to IB:
Describe to me what I am seeing now, clearly and in short!

This is our center, here all the knowledge is being stored and all energy pulsates out to the whole realm, I hear.

That is all it says. I marvel at the beautiful red, blue and white vortex of energy that is pulsating at the center of the wide cavern. It is so beautiful!

How do I absorb as much energy as possible from the vortex?, I ask after a while.

Fly into the vortex itself and intend the energy to enter your top gate. You can also receive our knowledge there as if reading a book, it says.

(I remembered at that point that I have read somewhere about a book that these IBs possess and that it is invaluable for a dreamer, according to the author of that article.)

Not for me, I think to myself. Out loud I say:
I just want energy, not your knowledge. If and when I want to know something, I will let you know.

I fly there to the center of the energy vortex and start to willingly absorb the inorganic energy into my dreaming body. Lucidity becomes sharper and I feel great.

I am staying here for a longer time. All of that time the IB doesn't voice a single word. I just float there, being aware that this is dreaming, and that I am in a dreaming body in a separate reality from the one my physical body is at.

Feeling invigorated and fully awake, I ask IB, yet again, if it can move my AP to the place where the Giant Trees are.

Yes, it replies.

Slowing down my internal chat and just before I stop it, I voice my intent for IB to move my AP, that is, to take my dreaming body to the realm of the Giant Trees.

The vision just starts spinning and everything goes dark at first and then light blue and after a few moments I find myself at the bottom of a huge, at least 600 feet high giant tree.
